It is wrong to twist our faith to achieve political outcomes. Sadly, some of our bishops do this routinely. They use moral equivalence of wildly different topics such as *perceived* character or *perceived* environmental sensitivity vs. abortion.

For example, if Bishop Left Ist were present at the execution of an innocent person and also saw trash dropped onto the ground, they would say yes the execution was wrong but so too is the other injustice present in the (possibly unintentional) act of liter. Focus on both (equally).

When you see, read, hear anyone make such moral equivalences, be very, very cautious. Such equivalence is NOT the teaching of the Church but their own flawed prudential judgment.
