This is why we have a very low opinion of the USCCB.

The catechism affirms in paragraph 2241 the duty to welcome (LEGAL) immigrants "to the greatest extent possible". It goes on to also note the duty of countries to secure their borders and enforce the law for the common good.

The US has been among the top countries to welcome immigrants and has the largest number (47 million - 2015) in the world.

ILLEGAL immigrants are breaking our laws which are in place for good reason. They should not be here, let alone given full rights of a citizen. Yet, the USCCB sees no difference between legal and illegal immigrants. Instead, they adopt far left, open borders positions crafted for political revolution in which the immigrants are pawns.
