Yesterday was the Memorial of Saint Leo the Great (Leo I, 400-461).

A short film of his namesake and successor, Pope Leo XIII (1810-1903), taken in 1896 has been restored and is now available. It claims that Pope Leo XIII is the earliest-born person to ever be captured on film.
