(Lk 19:26)
'I tell you, to everyone who has, more will be given, but from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.

Liz Wheeler comments on Chick-Fil-A's move away from Christianity:

Some other non-Christian chicken fast food brands who at least did not abandon their loyal base:

Popeye's, Bojangles, KFC, Church's, Zaxby's, Raising Cane's, Shake Shack, Wingstop, Jollibee. Don't forget super market and big discount center rotisserie chicken.

We can stop supporting Chick-Fil-A now. They have backed away from their once strong Christian values to be essentially no different than every other company.

Chicken lovers will note that Popeye's has a new, very popular chicken sandwich.

(Lk 19:10)
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save what was lost."

(Lk 18:41-43)
"What do you want me to do for you?" He replied, "Lord, please let me see."

Jesus told him, "Have sight; your faith has saved you."

He immediately received his sight and followed him, giving glory to God. When they saw this, all the people gave praise to God.

(Lk 21:16-19)
You will even be handed over by parents, brothers, relatives, and friends, and they will put some of you to death. You will be hated by all because of my name, but not a hair on your head will be destroyed. By your perseverance you will secure your lives.

(Lk 18:7-8)
Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them?

I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily. But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?"

(Lk 17:28-32)
Similarly, as it was in the days of Lot: they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building; on the day when Lot left Sodom, fire and brimstone rained from the sky to destroy them all.

So it will be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

On that day, a person who is on the housetop and whose belongings are in the house must not go down to get them, and likewise a person in the field must not return to what was left behind. Remember the wife of Lot.

Did you realize, in your entire life your heart will beat a specific number of times then stop.

You are spending your heartbeats now. Soon enough your finite but unknown supply will be fully depleted, you will be gone. Will you have spent them wisely?

(Lk 17:22-25)
Then he said to his disciples, "The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.

There will be those who will say to you, 'Look, there he is,' [or] 'Look, here he is.' Do not go off, do not run in pursuit.

For just as lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be [in his day].

But first he must suffer greatly and be rejected by this generation.

(Lk 17:15-19)
And one of them, realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice; and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked him. He was a Samaritan.

Jesus said in reply, "Ten were cleansed, were they not? Where are the other nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?"

Then he said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has saved you."

(Lk 17:10)
So should it be with you. When you have done all you have been commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.'"

(Lk 17:5-6)
And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."

The Lord replied, "If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to [this] mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.

(Lk 20:34-38)
Jesus said to them, "The children of this age marry and are given in marriage; but those who are deemed worthy to attain to the coming age and to the resurrection of the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage. They can no longer die, for they are like angels; and they are the children of God because they are the ones who will rise.

That the dead will rise even Moses made known in the passage about the bush, when he called 'Lord' the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and he is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive."

(Jn 2:19-20)
Jesus answered and said to them, "Destroy this temple and in three days I will raise it up."

The Jews said, "This temple has been under construction for forty-six years, and you will raise it up in three days?"

Brian reflects on the Amazon synod, how small regional changes get wedged into the entire Church and observations on idol worship.

It's so simple. He is always with us. Be always with him, through all your actions, in your sufferings, when your body is broken, remain under his gaze, see him present, living in your soul.
-- St. Elizabeth of the Trinity

(lk 16:8)
And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently. "For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light.

(Lk 15:10)
In just the same way, I tell you, there will be rejoicing among the angels of God over one sinner who repents."

Pope Francis notes St. Paul announced Christ to idol worshipers without attacking them.

It is a straw man and utterly false equivalency re: the pagan idols brought into the Church of Santa Maria.

In this sad situation, no one has attacked any idol worshipers. Absolutely none. Also, St. Paul did not place any idols at the foot of the Cross. St. Paul did not participate (in any way) in the adoration of idols. In short, St. Paul converted pagans without glorifying their idols. St. Paul knew the first commandment.
