@George "The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me." What does that mean?
Does this have a negative impact on the desire to receive the Eucharist daily? "Heal against me." Have I turned on God in some way? Am on running away from God? What am I running towards? Money, Career, social ambitions? Or God, Jesus Christ, Family and Community? Does Jesus light up my home and the city I live in?
"...he said, 'I am the light of the world..." (John 8:12)
Am I running the race? "... I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. (Acts 20:24).
"Amen, amen, whoever receives the one I send receives me..."
Again! "raised his heel against me."??? What does that mean? Am I leaning against Him?
***Can someone explain this verse to me???
@christine
In John 13:18 "raised his heel against me" is in reference to the blessing given in John 13:17, excluding our Lord's betrayer from the blessing.
