Thought for the day:

Cheer up. The media have always been lying to us, it's just clearer now because the internet allows for opposing voices to be heard.

@jforseth210 I don't think there's much you can do about tracking if you're running Android, so I'd say just check out the Google Pixels. I would expect they run a close to stock Android image with minimal bloat. I've heard that they're a pretty good phone, but I haven't looked into it too much.

I have a Razer Phone 2 which has very little bloat, but they stopped making phones in 2018; still may be worth looking into if you don't mind not having the lastest and greatest.

@joegrimer you can always just define your own binary structures and define an ICD for other developers to understand it. If you want a library, I think Protobuffers operate sort of like that under the hood.

@52fighters very true, have you looked into the Pinephone? I have one running Mobian, but not quite at the daily driver level yet, at least for me.

@grips interesting, I'll have to do some more research into that, I only really saw the appstore page.

@Columbkille that makes sense. I'm currently just on the 90 day free trial, which has been good. I think after getting into a good routine it may not be as useful to me though.

Has anyone else on here used the Hallow mobile app? I just downloaded it and have found it to be a pretty good way to get into a daily religious routine (which I've never really done).

@joegrimer I would say it depends on how it affects readability, usually I find leaving it off makes the code look cleaner in my opinion.

@Columbkille I've been using the free tier of CTemplar for a few months now and haven't had any problems. All the mail is stored encrypted on their servers which does make things a little slower. If you go on their subreddit and ask for an invite code they'll usually get you one pretty quick.
